There Is A Place For You To Shine
“You are not judged by the height you have risen, but from the depth you have climbed.”
Frederick Douglass (American Social Reformer, Abolitionist, Orator, Writer, and Diplomat) 1818-1895

(Psalms 24:3-4) Who may climb the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies.
By your accomplishments you are judged and applauded, but – where is the shine? No – it’s not in the nicely groomed hair; nor is it in the clothing or the car. Neither is it in the company that acknowledges your work, or the grand earnings you’ve deposited in your bank account. The shine I’m referring to is embodied within the spirit of you. Your best shine is seen during the times you are persevering, crying, and struggling – but not giving up. When you are pressing your way for what you can see by faith and not by sight – you’re shining! It’s during the challenging and difficult times of your life…there…there is the shine that makes a place for you among those who walk in the light of God. There within you is God’s light. And because of this, there is a place in the world for you to...SHINE!
