Give More – Have More
(Luke 6:38) “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full---pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”

It is as plain, simple, and true as it can be: In all that you do, you will get out of it exactly what you put into it. Another way of saying this is, “What goes around, comes around.” The thing about our mindset in giving is that we often look for it to return to us in the same form and for the same reason it is given. Not so. One of the reasons giving doesn’t work this way is because Jesus is the ultimate giver of all things. It is the tone and measure of our giving spirit that manifests what comes back to us. If we keep records while we follow God’s instructions on giving rather than be sincere givers from the heart, then we need to ask God to help us adapt an unselfish and genuine giving spirit. Everything we have belongs to the Lord – body, breath – everything! We can’t begin to dream of topping the kind of generosity God provides us. Yet, when we give in generosity and love to meet the needs of someone else, God is elated, and He pours us out more blessings on us than we are able to contain! It is more than we have given, more than we need, and more than enough to be a blessing to someone else! Look at God!
