Tangled Up
“All great achievements require time.”                                                                                          Maya Angelou (American Poet, Memoirist, and Civil Rights Activist) 1928-2014

(Proverbs 31:21; 24-25) She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm clothes. She makes belted linen garments and sashes to sell to the merchants. She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

What made the virtuous woman so confident, and content in the works of her hands and the caring of her family? She knew that above and beyond all she did - God was in charge of her entire life...completely. Whether life went as expected or if challenging times prevailed, she still knew God was in complete control of her life, and that she and her family were going to be fine. But let's imagine that this virtuous woman decided that sometimes God took too long answering her prayers, and she could work things out quicker on her own. What do you think might have happened? She - like many of us today - would find herself tangled up in a mess of her own doing. Fortunately, the virtuous woman let Jesus keep the controls of her life in His hands, and we can surrender full control of our lives back to Him. When we do - not only will he steer us back into our correct alignment - He will also untangle us from confusion and drama so we can resume living with confident faith in Him.
