Shameful Mistakes
(Genesis 3:8) Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

Let's be honest. It doesn’t bother us that much when we make a mistake unless the effect of the mistake negatively impacts us, we get caught making it, or we get found out. Oh, the shame and embarrassment that follows...unless we are the brazen kind of folks who just don't care! For us caring people - we don't need to hide - but we certainly need to deal with our shame and embarrassment. All people make mistakes, and consequential emotions are a part of it. Yep, there's not one perfect person walking around in the earth - nada...none! What we can do to avoid making shameful mistakes is to own the mistakes we do make by resolving to be mindful of paying attention to what we're doing and being obedient in what we should and should not do. Humility is the target we aim for that frees us from being ashamed of the imperfections that our Heavenly Father is most capable of growing us beyond.
