The Other Way
(Proverbs 12:15) The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advise.
We won't become our best selves by ourselves. As far as we have come thus far - we didn't get here alone. In between the 'then' and'now' we've travelled in directions that sometimes led us farther backward than forward. In our search to know ourselves, we've gotten turned around and lost many times. But all the while, God placed rams in bushes for us through different peers, colleagues, family members, and even some kind strangers. In one way or another, they provided for us or they spoke sound wisdom to us. At some point, their intervention caused us to halt in a direction we were heading, and we turned the other way towards what held a greater promise for us. Like those who were there for us, we also need to be a ram in the bush for the people around us. While we all need time and space to realize that we must often turn the other way to become our better self, we gain wisdom from our experiences that are tools to be provided to help others to find the other way as well.
