Give Credit Where Credit Is Due
(1 Thessalonians 5:12) Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you.

When we criticize others, are we being fair and honest? Is that which annoys us about them - the way they dress, the way they speak, the way they conduct themselves or interact with other people - really about them, or about us? To be fair, we all have critical areas about ourselves that can use some improving - and that's okay, because we are continuously evolving. But to be honest, we all seem to forget when we once behaved like what we now so authoritatively criticize. Don’t worry...I'm stepping on my own toes as I write this. Tell the truth and shame the devil, right? Perhaps it is long overdue for us to give credit where credit is due to people who are doing the best that they know how to. A little self-reflection and a lot of Christ compassion will go a lot farther in building up the body of Christ. We need each other, you know what I mean?
