Clear Focus
(Luke 10:40-42) But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!" “Martha, Martha,’ the Lord answered, ‘you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed-or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."

Getting to a better place in your life begins with an inside job. It starts with having a clear focus. We move where our focus takes us. If it is cluttered, then we are all over the place. But if it is clear, our navigation leads us to our desired destination. When we work on separating ourselves from various distractions (poor habits, negative people, unnecessary activities, etc.) and gaze upon the better possibilities that are just a firm decision away - we begin to operate with clear focus. It takes faith, practice, and a made-up mind. Getting to that better place isn’t always about us waiting on God. Oftentimes, it is God Who is ...waiting on us.
