How Deep Is Your Love?
Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. --- 1 Peter 1:22

Far greater than there are words to describe, songs to be sung, and sweets to taste - more meaningful than worldly connotations imply - is God's transcendent love. Through patience and life lessons we gradually learn about the unequivocal Person, passion, and power of Love. God is the embodiment of real love, and the depth of His love is immeasurable. Do you know love? Do you have love in your life? Do you offer love to others? I hope you are able to say 'yes' to these questions, because unfortunately there are still too many people in the world who cannot. Now let me ask you, "How deep is your love?" Our goal should be to have a love for each other that is as limitless as God's love is for us. It is possible, especially when we acquire these qualities: The willingness to open our hearts to others (commitment); sympathy and desire to help people who are suffering to heal (compassion); awareness and focus to appreciate the people in our lives (attention); support and encouragement for the ups and downs in a person’s life (empathy); belief beyond doubt in all that is possible through love (faith); dependence on God instead of our own reasoning for answers to what we struggle with or don't understand (trust), and the release of our opinions that can imprison us from the fullness of love (surrender).  Love is a beautiful mystery Whose depth is enveloping and everlasting. Will you grab hold of Love's hand, and join me in sharing His benefits with the world?
