Be An Encourager
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another--and all the more as you see the day approaching. --- Hebrews 10:24-25

Sometimes the best of who we are is sparked into action by a few words of encouragement. Lord knows we all can benefit from some encouragement on the regular. Even encouragers need encouraging! It's not that we don't attempt to be and do our best, but more so that our opinion of ourselves can sometimes fall short of our greatest potential. Yes, there are going to be times when we will have to encourage our own self. However, when we make it a point to express a specific compliment or give positive and supportive suggestions to the people we interact with, we really don't know how much our encouragement raises their confidence in themselves for what they may be trying to accomplish. You and I know we have received compliments that literally lifted a cloud from our eyes and set us in a completely different perspective of ourselves. Doesn't it feel wonderful? Well, that wonderful feeling is felt by the giver as well as the receiver. Consider the habits of your thoughts and your talk, and vow to be an encourager. Encouragement is the antidote to discouragement, don't you know?
