The Soul Cropper
Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.  --- Hebrews 13:1-2

We meet people who initiate an encounter with God for us and for themselves. The kindness of a stranger or a familiar person provides an opportunity to spark a moment of conversation that glorifies God. The fruit of our spirits connect and bless our souls in the oneness of the body of Christ. But then, we also meet people who have hurting and bitter spirits, and our interactions with them are less than pleasant. What should we do? Should we ignore them, put them in their place, pin them in a corner and 'religify' them…or operate from the fruit of our spirit, trusting God to work through us to help them receive a touch of His divine love - even if we can do no more than whisper a silent prayer on their behalf? The latter is the better action to take because what may seem to be the smallest act of grace we can offer to a person is enough of a fermented seed to initiate an encounter with God that will happen at its appointed time. When we remain hearers and doers of the Word of God toward our fellow man, the Soul Cropper - Jesus Christ - will arrange the feeding and weeding of the souls we are to win for Him, and in due season He will receive His ripened crop. mzbccAlways know that our actions within the fruit of the spirit sets the stage for the works of the Soul Cropper.
