Everything Depends On Christmas
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. --- Romans 15:13

It is so heartbreaking to hear people say they will be glad when Christmas is over before it even arrives. Some people even say they would gladly skip the holiday if they could. These expressions come from the hearts of those who may be fed up with the world's commercialism of this blessed season and from the hearts of others who do not accept, have not received, or perhaps have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. We need and we want Christmas because - without it - we would all be lost in a spiritual death and doomed to hell. We could never pay our sin debt or receive eternal life with God without there being Christmas. Jesus came at Christmas to save our lives. Jesus was born - to die - so we might live! Without Christmas, there would be no resurrection! But because we can celebrate the birth of our Savior, we have Someone to believe in Who offers us faith, hope, love, and salvation! Therefore, everything depends on Christmas. Christmas is the most important event in this world about the most important Person this world will ever know! Our reasons to joyfully anticipate the celebration of Christmas are eternally greater than what the world can ever advertise! Yes, everything about our lives - past, present, and future - depends on Christmas, and the joy of Christmas is truly found within our hearts!
