Even the Little Things
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. --- Colossians 3:23-24

This is pretty neat when you think about it. Everything we do matters to God. This doesn't imply that everything we do has to be a big attention getter. No, even the smallest things we do matter.  It's unfortunate that we get caught up on the size of what we do when we think about pleasing God. Appearances draw attention, but the motive behind the action is the truth that ultimately prevails. The motive of what we do originates in the heart - the 'place from which the springs of life flow' (Proverbs 4:23b). Everything we do - from directing the building of a tower to gluing a knob back on cabinet door - has purpose and value to God, to self, and to others. Don't dismiss an opportunity to do a good service that will  bring glory to your Father. It may seem small to you, but even the little things we do are big matters to God.
