God Loves His Prodigal Children
When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.' Luke 15:17-18

What have you done now? Seemed like a good idea at the time, huh? Did you think things through, plan, share your ideas with some faithful friends and get some feedback...no? I guess there is no need to ask you if you talked it over with the Big Guy, huh? Well, even if you have missed the mark on all accounts, that's not the bigger aspect of your troubles. You know what is? Pride...it has you struggling in such deep waters. When you jumped on the impulse to do what you did, you were your main attraction! You expected everyone else to go along with it because you liked it. So here you are sulking and feeling like everyone turned on you. But if you will just stop and analyze things for a moment, you can see how God has spared you in this. What turned out wrong for you could have gone wrong for your friends as well, all because they would have done it to please you. How would that have made you feel? Yeah, talk about an even hotter mess! With your perspective in check, I ask you this, "What are you going to do now?"   What's  that...?  You're going to own your mess, ask God to forgive you, right your wrongs, and remember to sit with Jesus before you jump on any more impulses? WOW! All I have left to say to you my brother/my sister is this: "Lesson well learned, and all the while God never stopped loving you!"
