Pleasing God
So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. --- 2 Corinthians 5:9

Those of us who are raising or have raised children know how excited they can get when they realize they have done something that we approve of. Oh, boy! Sometimes they get so happy because of Mommy and Daddy's smile until they don't know what to do with themselves! That aspect of their learning process is important to instill into their young lives. It will serve as an anchor to keep them grounded when they begin to go to school and other places where they will be apart from their parents. From their home training they can sense their parents' presence with them no matter where they are. Good home training bonds parents and their children, and children reap the assurance of knowing their parents will both commend and correct them in love. Know matter what our ages are, this concept of parents and children is our relationship with God. Our Father truly knows and wants what is best for us. He calls for our attention so He can train us through the scriptures, experiences, and His Presence to know what He expects of us and what pleases Him. Trust me...God knows us better than we know ourselves, and He commends and disciplines us with an unconditional love. His love has the power to make us want to do right even when we think we don't want to. When we remember that pleasing God is our main goal in life versus pleasing man who is never satisfied, the Holy Spirit within will signal to us God's pleasure wherever we may be in His service.
