Make Right Decisions
For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God's slaves. --- 1 Peter 2:15-16

When Friday comes, we like to reward ourselves for making it through the work week. But what we decide to do as a reward can affect our walk with God. Does going to work all week grant us the right to break away from our responsibilities at home and to our families? Does it earn us the privilege to go out and behave in a way that puts our health or our reputation at risk? Does it mean that God makes exceptions for us because we lived by the golden rule five days in a row? The answer to these questions is a flat out 'no'. We have free will to choose what we do, but we also know that whatever we decide to do that does not align with God's will for us will come with consequences. Even though He works all things out for our good, God holds us responsible for our behavior and our decisions. He disciplines our foolishness to help us grow in wisdom. He desires us to grow closer and closer to Him. Obedience is key. Making right decisions when we'd much rather do otherwise will always give us the peace and blessings of God.
 What better reward is there?
