The Reflection of Your Heart
A person's wisdom brightens their face and changes its hard appearance. --- Ecclesiastes 8:1b

Just so you know, what you carry in your heart shows on your face. Yep, it certainly does. Your face reveals exactly how you truly feel within the place that matters most to God - your heart. You can fake it, put makeup on it, and anything else you do to camouflage the truth. However, your countenance can only hide but for so long. You will eventually be exposed. It's no coincidence that children respond in certain ways to adults. Their pure hearts are sensitive to what they see on the faces of people. It's unfortunate that anyone would go to the trouble of acting like they have a heart of love, kindness, generosity, etc. These are wonderful qualities to behold. They reflect the Spirit of Jesus, and you want people to see Jesus in you, don’t you? Proverbs 4:23 says, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." It is a serious matter to look within yourself to make sure that your face can reflect a heart that has peace, joy, and love. After all, what you carry inside is a magnet for what you draw to yourself. You are made in the image of God. God is love, and a face that reflects anything other than love warrants a heart within that needs some spiritual healing. What does your face testify to the world?
