We Live and Play to Win!
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. --- Hebrews 11:1

We can't expect to have much of anything or go anywhere in life if we choose to play it safe all the time. 'Being' safe and 'playing' it safe are not the same thing. The former prescribes to being cautious for the sake of safety, while the latter is more so a decision to be permanently still. There are times when God requires us to be still in certain matters. That is because His plan of action does not require our involvement during those time. But we are meant to engage ourselves in the activities and opportunities life has to offer. Being stuck in a play it safe mode is not living. Let's say you just bought a new television. In order to enjoy it, you have to remove it from its box and from the protective styrofoam that keeps it from shifting around inside the box. The inner packaging kept the television safe. That is a good thing. However, if we are not careful our thoughts - just like that styrofoam - can stifle us from making moves in our life. Instead of protecting us, our thoughts imprison us. Fear - that's all it is. It is a weapon of the enemy that takes root in small-minded thinking. How do we conquer 'playing it safe'? By standing in the truth that we are courageous champions in Christ! In Him we confidently rise to the experiences of life with the courage of a lion! Children of the King don't live to play it safe. We live, and we play...to win!
