What Do You See?
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. --- Isaiah 43:19

Why do we overlook the blessings we ask Jesus for? It may be that we put Jesus on a pedastal and expect Him to present His blessings to us in a particular way - much like we do each other. We 'conform' Jesus to our small way of seeing things. So many times we bypass people who possess character and skills needed in this world because they do not look the way we think they should. We don’t even try to have a conversation with them, when all it would take is just a moment of interest to reveal an unexpected gift to our lives! Imagine the numerous brainiacs we don't recognize because our judgemental eyes see them as being what their outer circumstances display. Ahh - but Jesus! I have never known Him to give an answer to a prayer without including a spiritual lesson with it! In all things there is a relational thread that connects us to one another. No matter what our differences are, the matter of relationship will always be a primary point in our lives. The jobless man standing on the corner or the homeless woman and her three children who are staying at the shelter may be the recreation director and the graphics designer we’ve been asking God for. What about you...if you were to stop looking from your limited point of view and begin to look from a supernatural point of view – what do you see?  I’ll tell you what I see. I see my brothers and my sisters who deserve a fair chance in life because their temporary circumstances could very well be the same for you and me. Do you see what I mean?
