Living Life In Limbo
"...As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world." --- John 9:4-5

Just how low can we go when we live our lives in limbo? In the physical sense - we can go low enough to hit rock bottom. And in the spiritual sense, we can buoy in a place that has no purpose. It is neutral...comfortable and conforming, cushioned with indecision, uncertainly, fear, noncommittal, etc. In that place of limbo there is no definite yes or no, no right or wrong, no possibilities, progress, or promise. There is absolutely nothing going on there. The hope and belief that is needed to stir up the energy and purpose of vision does not abide in this in between place. Air has been extracted from this place because - there is no living going on there.  The whole picture of life that we look to see, and the finish line of life's race are two things we will never know and experience if we don't ever make the decision to pick up the crayon and draw the picture and lace up our shoes, set our courses, and run the race!!! Ultimately, we aren't meant to live life in limbo. We arern't meant to live life at rock bottom. We are privileged to decide either to live for Jesus, and soar like eagles - or to live for self and linger...buoy in limbo. The latter choice is more so a living death sentence. How do we get out of living life in limbo? By mastering the art of 'walking by faith and not by sight'  (2 Corinthians 5:7).  It takes faith to follow Jesus, and in following Him all good works lead to the Kingdom. So now - shouldn't the question we ask ourselves be, "Just how high can we fly for our Savior?"  We can't remain living in limbo if we are ever going to find out!
