No Such Things As Secrets
A bribe is seen as a charm by the one who gives it; they think success will come at every turn. ---Proverbs 17:8

Isn't it disappointing when someone whom you believe to have good moral and ethnic values does a shift on you and validates his or her poor choices with a watered-down version of scripture? It hits me right in my gut when people speak of scripture in ways that suit their underhandedness without blinking an eye or biting their tongue. There is a smile, a wink, a physical disposition, a secret or coded way of communicating that goes along with the transaction.  When we respond to them as believers with the truth of God's Word - they say that we're the ones who don't have it right. Really?!? To give my gut a rest, I have to meditate on what is really happening when this occurs. We realize that the adversary knows how sweet it is for us to belong to Jesus and to have all of His Kingdom and Glory to look forward to. He knows it, and he hates it because - he's out!! So, as an act of mockery to the power of the Word, when people are being used by the adversary, they take familiar scripture and manipulate it to interpret what they purpose it for. It can only be a lie and death. However, when we go to scripture, we receive truth and life that never ends and provides understanding, power, and boldness that supersedes every deed that is done. We know for sure that everything that happens takes place right in front of God's  eyes. He's everywhere. Therefore, there are no hiding places - and no such thing as secrets. We may not be able to persuade everyone to abide by this truth but - thank God - we know it for ourselves. God's truth will keep us - free.
