Getting Our Children Ready
...may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May He produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever. Amen! – Hebrews 13:21
Going forward, the virtual world is the platform through which our children will attain a great deal of their educational experiences. While most of the younger generations are quite savvy with technology - they are still yet children - and right now in their position they need us even more than they may need us in a normal school attendance setting. The partnership teachers need with parents to ensure the best of quality learning is paramount. For this virtual learning environment, our children will need supervision, boundaries, discipline, balance, recreational time, study time, and training in their social skills. On the home front this can sound overwhelming to nearly impossible, but it isn't. We did this for them before they were old enough to attend kindergarten. We did this instead of letting the television babysit them. And we must prepare to do it now so that we can give them some time away from the virtual screens and keep them engaged with the reality of human interactions. We and our children are the greatest of concern to God in all this change, adjustment and uncertainty we are going through. Our children are our gift and our most valuable responsibility to care for. So, come on. Let’s get things in order at home and motivate, support, and love our children in their studies and activities. Grow the heart of family. Family shall always remain a number one priority of God's.
