Tricker-ship

There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him:  haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community. ---Proverbs 6:16-19

It is unfortunate that as I read this scripture it brings to my mind the number forty-five. I know you caught that. On one hand, it is upsetting to see the behavior of such high leadership causing problems for people everywhere and divisions in global relationships. But on the other hand, when I step away from media and anxious conversations, I consider how long this scripture - this truth - has been a part of the Word of God, and I say to myself, "God does not like this any more than we do. And if He does not like it, surely He will do something about it."  What is left for us to do after this realization? We are to be aware, but not anxious or afraid. You see, the God we serve leads us with a plan of authority that will produce good for the total of humanity. There are no loopholes, twists, turns, or biases that will suppress us. However, 'tricker-ship' (leadership by way of trickery) - as frustrating as it is to watch and to deal with - has no real power. The surmountable pile of difficulties it has caused will inevitably have to be dealt with. But in the meantime, we know that our Kingdom Leadership is completely aware of what is going on, and there will be no tricks up His sleeve when He has His time of reckoning.
