When Jesus Flips the Script
This is what the Lord says: "Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed." --- Isaiah 56:1

"Jesus, I am frustrated about some things. Your History is the history of humanity, and yet man has written a history of its own that neglects, discriminates, and kills off chapters of your people for whom you suffered on the cross. Your Living Word is filled with instructions and promises for blessed and abundant living for all children of God. But man's rule attempts to hold us down and in the past by fluctuating rules and laws that accommodate the twists and turns of an unjust authority. Your Kingdom is the reigning residence of Your throne and Your people, but man's law separates you the nations - only to call on You when he thinks You may be of service to him. From Your hand freely flows all the provisions we need for life, but man's system of resources and finances tilt in favor of those who have and oppresses those who have not. In Your service, giving to others produces more with an even greater return to the giver. But man’s way gives unto himself while extending closed hands to others, and he strains the poor to get what little they have. Lord, I just want to know if Your righteousness will ever prevail in this world."

With my turbulent thoughts out of the way, I can hear Jesus saying, "Keep looking up, keep the faith, and continue fighting the good fight. You need not worry about the outcome of these matters, because everything will be set in order when I...flip the script."
