Level Up

"My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the LORD. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."---Isaiah 55:8-9
Everyone should have a dream for his or her life. It doesn't matter if you are a child who dreams of becoming a princess or an airline captain, a renter who dreams of becoming a homeowner, or a farmer who dreams of becoming a political representative for his community - all dreams hold a promise for each individual's life. Whether or not your particular dream comes to fruition can hinge on three things: (1) if you are serious about your dream, (2) if you prepare for your dream, and (3) if you level up your dream.
A dream can be a whim that comes and goes like a fantasy. However, when it has substance, it stays with you night and day and is your consuming thought - the center of your attention. Your devout interest leads you to whatever will help you to master the knowledge and skills required for you to be your best. But there is one more thing that happens in order to know for certain whether you have arrived to the fullness of your dream, and you are ready to step into it - or - if  you have completed training for what appeared to be your dream, but God had something else in mind for you. In either case, this is where you must level up. You see, nothing we dream of or desire is approved until God puts His seal on it. Some dreamers work in their natural bent - the gift directly connected to the nature of who God made them to be. But for other dreamers - what God had in mind for you may be a few levels higher than you had for yourself, but the preparation you needed could be acquired through what you had an interest in. God sometimes does things this way because He knows that if you knew beforehand what you were really in store  for - you would shrink or give up on yourself before you even tried. When you level up your dreams to the Dream Maker, you can trust that you will never be disappointed in His decision for you. If you will trust Him even when nothing makes sense, you will be pleasantly surprised at how His way of getting you to the fullness of your true dream makes the outcome that much sweeter!
