What You Know
But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God. --Acts 20:24
Chaz realized midway of his life that there were many experiences he missed out on which were fundamental to his understanding the idiosyncrasies of people. He desired to live a happy and free spirit life just like everyone else did (or so he thought). While he experienced such joy in the Presence of God, he dealt with a host of negative complexities in communicating with and relating to people. This caused him much pain and grief. Chaz had a talk with the Lord and asked, "Will I ever fit in with people so that I don't misunderstand their ways of thinking? I do not see how I can ever be of great service to Your Kingdom if what I do or say in a spirit of sincerity causes disharmony." The answer he received comforted his heart, broadened His mind, and fueled his spirit with hope and possibility. God’s answer to him was this: "You are just the right fit for My Kingdom, and that is the only place I made you to fit in. Whatever you think you have missed in life I am using now to get you to the place I have willed you to be. The lessons are no easier now than they would have been then. It hurts you because you have a heart that cares. You are connected to My Word more than you realize. You are a part of the complexity struggle in human relations, and this is good. If you channel the pain and grief you feel to convey My truth to people through your response, your words, your patience - and My timing...you will see that you have been doing your Kingdom assignment all along." Never underestimate the difference you are making for the Lord, no matter how you feel. Wherever you glean a lesson, you embrace a blessing.
