Father, Can We Talk?
So, let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. --- Hebrews 4:16

It took me a minute to accept the way Kara communicates with God, and I am glad that I did.   Regarding her individualism, I have always considered her to be a rare gem. But that is okay, because that young woman put me in check and freed me from self-bondage! One day, I heard Kara having an emotional conversation behind closed doors. Her words were intense and what I thought to be out of character. I went on about my business, and a couple of days later I told her what I heard and asked if she was alright. She said something was troubling her that day, and she was just talking it over with God.
In disbelief, I asked, "Don’t you feel bad about some of the words you were saying to Him? He's  God...you know?"
Kara said, 'Nope. He told me that in my relationship with Him I am to come boldly and hold nothing back. I used to talk to Him all holier than thou before He made me understand that He and I have our own way of communicating, and it is nobody's business but His and mine. So, I pour it out like it is. I keep matters real, He takes it all,  and He gives me grace and mercy in return. I may have gone to Him feeling heavy, but when I leave - I feel relieved, understood, and deeply loved. I am a work in progress, and He knows that better than anyone. And yet, He loves me all the same."
