Don’t Stray Away
So the Lord must wait for you to come to Him so He can show you His love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for His help. --- Isaiah 30:18

Life has its difficult seasons, but they are not impossible to endure and overcome. It is the discomfort of those times that we do not like dealing with. But that is par for the course, wouldn't you agree? A big misconception we have about God that throws our faith off course is the idea that when our lives are going well and we are content, then God is pleased with us. But as soon as things occur that interrupt our happiness,  we figure He is displeased with us. That is like saying God deliberately treats us bad when He wants to. We need to delete that concept once and for all. Listen...God is Love, and there is nothing fickle about Him. Everything He does is consistent, fair, and for our good. However, we are pros when it comes to being flighty with our faith. We can go from a joyful 'Halleluiah!’ to a despairing 'Oh,, Lord!' in a split second! This shows that our faith is weak and our relationship with our Savior is not what it should be. Jesus can help us with this. We just need to go to Him - not our neighbors, not our friends, and not the people we hang around - because they need to go to Him, too! We will come to realize that each time we ever thought God was not with us or for us - it was us who strayed away from Him. He promised never to leave us or forsake us. When will we make up our minds to stop leaving and forsaking the only Person willing to die for us so that we may someday live with Him forever?
