Fire the Record Keepers!
But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. ---Romans 3:21-22
God is aware of every thought we have, action we take, and motive behind what we do. Whatever we do - it looks different to other people because of the difference in our individual perspectives. God is the only One Who understands what is going on with us and why. But we often act as the judge and jury towards each other. We are brothers and sisters who - together - can help each other to be better people and experience a blessed life. Instead of keeping records of each other's wrongs, we can extend Godly grace to each other and move forward in our role as ambassadors for the Kingdom. We all mess up sometime...okay, a lot of times! Getting unstuck from our mess is hard enough without having others try to hold us there based on a history of records they have kept. We all have a core purpose to be Kingdom lights in the earth and spread the Good News of Jesus to everyone! God does not need us to keep records on each other - especially when we are incapable of keeping track of our own! That is why I say, "Fire the record keepers, and let's extend grace to each other as God so faithfully does to us!" We have Kingdom work to do, my brothers and sisters. When we work together in love and grace, we make the Light of Jesus shine brighter in this dark world. Are you with me?
