Discern What Your Ears 'See'
But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." ==1 Samuel 16:7

Our ears allow us to hear…and to see. This is true! Our hearing heightens our sight as we mature in the discipline of faith in the Word of God. The more we study and become like our Savior, we gain strength in spiritual gifts He has placed in us. The Holy Spirit raises our awareness. In today's times a lot of 'false' is disguised as the 'truth', except that it cannot stand up against the truth of the scriptures. Our eyes can be deceived by the appearance of things. But when we use our ears to listen deeper, we can see a greater truth. Spiritual maturity enables our hearing to filter out false clouds so we can see what is true before us. Listen…everything shiny isn't new, and everyone holy isn't saved! Before you make a hasty decision on what is presented to you, exercise the use of your ear sight by being 'quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry -  humbly accepting the Word planted in you, which can save you' (James 1:19b; 201b).  Your ears are an asset for discernment. Listen to what they see.
