What Are You Waiting For?
Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. Proverb 27:1
Procrastination robs us of time, experiences, growth, and greater expectations. Comfort, convenience, and entertainment are what cause us to neglect getting things done. Since we've been social distancing and spending more time at home - how many of us initially embraced the opportunity to catch up on things that we didn't have time to take care of because of our work, school, and social schedules? You know- those attics, basements, closets, dresser drawers, kitchen and bathroom cabinets and garages that need to be cleaned up and/or reorganized! Have we followed through? If so, then excellent! Aren't you glad we didn't let procrastination keep our intentions jailed to our thoughts? Everything we do matters to God. There are numerous blessings in the gift of 'now'. No one knows of a 'tomorrow' until they get there. So, for those of us who are letting procrastination be the warden of a tomorrow we are not promised, the question remains - what are you waiting for?
