Have We Asked God?
“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” John 14:13-14

When we keep God first in our lives, we can never be lost for an answer to a prayer. The closer we are to Jesus in our relationship with Him, the more we become like Him in our approach to life, our response to others, our search for answers to problems we have or matters we just do not understand. It is the power of God that makes us able to use wisdom to do the basic activities of life. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” When we were children, we learned how to ask Momma, Daddy, grandparents, schoolteachers, etc. when we had a need, a want, or a question for understanding. But did we learn well enough - through their talks and demonstrations - how blessed it is to bend our knees, or bow our heads, or clasps our hands in prayer to the One Who holds the answer to all matters of life? For those of us who did, have we passed such wisdom on through the generations? Regarding the current state of the world, have we asked God for His help and His answer? If God is first in our lives, it makes sense that He’d be the first Person we’d go to everyday, especially in times like these.
