Everybody Matters
“Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:36

The coronavirus has made its mark on the entire world. Everyone in the earth is impacted by it in one way or another in this same moment of time…everybody. It feels like the world has slowed spinning on its axis. Streets are empty and quiet. Schools, restaurants, and other businesses are closed. People are spending a considerable amount of time at home with each other. If this virus had only affected one country, the world would look observe it from a televised view, make its comments, hope for the best, and continue normal activities everywhere else. One thing we can be certain of learning from this experience is this: Everybody matters. In and of ourselves we are nothing, have nothing, and can do nothing. But together, by the grace, mercy, and power of God – we can do all things through Jesus Christ Who gives us strength. When the smoke and smog of our preambles and constitutions lift, do we behave as children of Light? It’s a question we should ask ourselves daily. We don’t want to be confused about Who we belong to. Everybody matters to God, and the matters of God involve everybody.
