Do We Still Not Know?
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34

No one other than Jesus could silently take the brutality, lies, torment, and ultimate crucifixion that He did for the sake of our salvation. He did it to pay for the sins of all people of all generations unto the day He returns to receive those who believe in and serve Him. He asks God the Father to forgive us during the peak of His suffering! He did not give up the fight until He had won the victory for us! He won, and we have salvation. But the question remains, “Do we still not know…what the Lord has done for us?” The tests and trials we are told through scripture that we would experience in the land of the living – why are we so quick to retaliate or give into the difficulties as if we have no worthy reason to endure? Is this how we choose to show Jesus our appreciation for a debt we could not pay for ourselves much less for the entire world? Knowing we are sinners – Jesus hung and died on that cross for us anyhow. Knowing Jesus loves us and keeps every promise He has made to us – we are so blessed to be able to hold on to His unchanging hand…anyhow. We need to live like we know He Lives!
