April 9 What Is Yet To Come
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess His name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. Hebrews 13:15-16
Jesus is So Good to us. Think about how He cared about His disciples. He loved them unconditionally. He encouraged them, trained them, listened to them, corrected them, shared Himself with them – teaching them everything He would have them to know so they could continue to live and to serve when He would no longer be with them physically. He gave them more than what would sustain them for the moment. He gave them life lessons to behold for what was yet to come. He poured into their spirit. Parents aren’t the only ones who have the responsibility of doing for their children what Jesus did for the disciples. All people of God are responsible for doing the same for each other – saved and unsaved. These are things we must not forget along with opening our mouths and praising God from the core of our hearts for the sacrifice of Jesus and the Glory of His Goodness. Meditate on these things before you partake of the bread and the wine that represents the bruised body and the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
