Not Just Yet, But Soon Enough…
We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing. Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. All this is evidence that God’s judgement is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.
2 Thessalonians 1:3-5

We are demonstrating prayerful wisdom in seeking the Lord to provide us with His guidance and instruction. He knows how much we miss assembling for praise and worship and providing hands on ministry services and activities for the community. It is that ‘togetherness’ part that we are especially missing. Yet, even in our social distancing we are still praising and worshiping God, and we are still providing ministry services and activities for our community. There is a difference between social ‘distancing’ and social ‘disengaging’, and the latter is not an option for God’s people! We don’t and we won’t let anything get in the way of our works for the Kingdom of Heaven! We know our calling is never-ending, and the Source of our ability to serve is limitless in His ways of providing access for us to do so! Therefore, we can remain encouraged. It is not in our best interest to reconvene at our houses of worship just yet, and even when we do return, we must continue to maintain the protective protocol that serves to keep everyone safe and healthy. But soon enough – no matter how long it takes – we will come together again and say, “Howdy, howdy! Halleluiah! It’s so good to see you one more time!” #InthistogetherinJesus!
