We Pay A Price For Ignorance

Proverbs 23:23 (CSB) Buy—and do not sell—truth, wisdom, instruction, and understanding.

Knowledge gained from receiving an education enlightens and empowers us to do things...make changes happen. We become human resources of facts and understanding. It comes at a price, and we pay for the training. But at the same time – we pay a price for ignorance. Ignorance costs us knowing the truth of God’s Word, wisdom, instruction, and the understanding of our spiritual existence in this world. What we don’t learn about ourselves according to the Word of God is more costly to us than the financial debts we accumulate. We can’t afford the cost of losing our soul. Committing time to study and meditate on God’s Word daily, being in fellowship with believers in Jesus Christ, and walking by faith in the truth of the scriptures is the tuition price that eliminates spiritual ignorance. Yes – learn the facts, but also learn the Truth. Both will help us to navigate our way in this world. But only Truth will give us Eternal freedom.
